About
How we work
A few things we hold to on every page.
All in good fun
The fun is in the name. We never make fun of the towns or the people who live there.
Independent
Dixon Public isn't connected with any town, county, school, library, or government agency.
Checked
Place names and locations come from the U.S. Geological Survey. Populations come from the 2020 Census. Town history comes from at least two published sources, listed on each page.
Every number has a year
When we give a figure, we say which year it's from.
No rankings
We don't rank the Dixons or compare them. Each one gets the same kind of page.
Photos
We use photos with the photographer's permission or under an open license, and we credit them.
