Dixon. Public.
There are twenty-one towns in the United States named Dixon, in eighteen states and four time zones. Water towers, welcome signs, depots, diners: Dixon signs from California to Pennsylvania, and we're here for all of it.
Our list is done. Twenty-one places in the United States are named Dixon, from Solano County, California, to Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, and every one of them now has its own page here, out in the open for all to see.
Each page has the basics: where that Dixon is, what county it's in, and how many people the 2020 Census counted there. The list comes from the U.S. Geological Survey, which keeps the government's record of American place names.
Now we want your photos. If you've spotted Dixon in public, on a sign, a water tower, or a storefront, send it in.
And tell us: Dixon what? We're taking suggestions for what Dixon should go on next.
The General Store
Dixon hats, Dixon shirts, Dixon hoodies, Dixon mugs. Made to order. Made to keep, your Dixon Public.
The full mark, front and center: the interlocking d/p over DIXON PUBLIC, printed on a soft tri-blend tee. For all twenty-one towns named Dixon — and for anyone who has ever slowed down to read a water tower.
The d/p mark, stitched at the left chest of a heavyweight hoodie in Bone. For cold mornings at the depot, or anywhere the wind comes straight across the fields.
The interlocking d/p, embroidered on a retro trucker. Mesh back for summer, a structured front that keeps its shape — the hat equivalent of a well-kept welcome sign.
The Dixon Public mark, stitched on the outer cuff — white thread on Black, black thread on Heather Grey and White. Crew length, cushioned sole, made in the USA. Good for the full circuit: all twenty-one towns named Dixon, if your feet hold out.
